92-94 Burghound – Notably ripe yet nicely fresh and even cool aromas of poached plum and dark berry fruit coulis are trimmed in hints of earth and the sauvage. The palate impression of the big-bodied and powerful flavors is one of contrasts as the mid-palate is actually nicely refined if dense whereas the wonderfully persistent finish is robust, muscular and borderline rustic, as well as exceptionally firm.
95 Wine Spectator – Though saturated with black currant, black cherry and blackberry fruit, this red is also linear in profile and verges on racy with its vibrant acidity. Packs abundant mineral, violet and tobacco notes, which chime in as this extends on the fruit-driven aftertaste. There is plenty going on here, yet this feels almost effortless on the palate.
