An earthier and much more sauvage-suffused nose offers up notes of both red and dark pinot fruit that is trimmed in underbrush wisps. There is fine verve to the delicious middle weight flavors that offer an appealing texture while the lingering finish is moderately austere but not really rustic. This should repay 6 to perhaps 10-ish years of bottle aging. – Burghound

Louis Jadot Gevrey-Chambertin wines are produced from vineyards lying on the extension of the slope on which the Grands and Premiers Crus are situated. The fruit is sourced from growers with whom Louis Jadot holds purchase agreements based on the quality of the harvest each year. The grapes are handpicked and sorted, then undergo fermentation. After a long maceration, a proportion of the wine is set to age in French oak barrels. The wine is bottled without fining or filtration.
