93-95 Vinous – The 2018 Mazoyères-Chambertin Grand Cru offers dark berry fruit on the nose; the deep soils lend concentration and hints of potpourri develop with time. The palate is very well defined with succulent black fruit and saturated tannins. Almost candied toward the finish, which leaves blueberry and cassis on the aftertaste. Perhaps Arnaud Mortet’s “sexiest” contribution toward this vintage.
